Why have we created Yelloh? There is one underlining reason – video is the future of communication.

We have identified one very common trend which is shifting our behaviours – video. Video is created at masses today with uses such as social media where more then 500million stories are uploaded on Snapchat and Instagram daily, or Youtube where more then 72 hours are uploaded every minute. Not only is content creation shifting to pure video, but content consumption is also shifting to video as it offers a much easier, richer and more contextual media to absorb rich data. This shift is also evident in the corporate world with

“59% of executives agreeing that if both text and video are available on the same topic, they are more likely to choose video.”.

Video is a great means for people to create content and to absorb content – this is not a question. What is the question however, is why are companies, events, and other organisations not using video to communicate with their customers? Why is that when a company wants to understand their customers or employees they do it through outdated/traditional online surveys, focus groups of interviews? By trying to understand customers with any of these medias, it shows that you defintly do not understand your customer. Consumers today live in a fast paced environment, where they expect to do and get anything at any time and any place. Through technology consumers have gotten the luxury to get food delivered to their door whenever they want it, to be transported anywhere whenever they want it, or to communicate with friends and family on their own time. It’s time companies offer their customers this luxury as well, especially if they are trying to get something from them.

This is the exact reason we developed Yelloh. We developed Yelloh as companies need a means to communicate with their customers in a way which is natural to them. Yelloh gives companies the complete freedom to collect customer feedback, conduct customer research, or collect video media to use in their own social channels. It’s done in such a simple way which reflects how traditional surveys work with the difference being that respondents answer directly in their web browser with video, rather then having to fill in text boxes or checkmarks.

We’ve even designed a smooth transition from physical to digital touch points using QR codes. This means companies, events, and any organisation can print qr codes on stickers, business cards or anything imaginable and ask their customers to snap & tell. All they have to do is snap the qr code and then tell their story directly in the web browser.

Video is the future of how people will communicate. It’s also time that businesses change their style of communicating with customers and they can do that through Yelloh.

Below I have put even more breath taking statistics to help you visualise how powerful video is:

82% of twitter users watch video content

More then 1 billion hours of videos are watched on youtube everyday

More video content is uploaded in 30 days than the major U.S television networks have created in 30 years

72 hours of video are uploaded to youtube every minute.

85% of the US internet audience watches videos online

59% of executives agree that if both text and video are available on the same topic, they are more likely to choose video.
